Four spots, each with its own stretch of water
Every spot has its own clearly marked fishing area, so you fish undisturbed all week and are in nobody’s way.
What is ready on your spot
You bring your rods and your cooking gear, and everything else is already there. That way you can fish for a week without setting up camp first, and still have a shower and a fridge close by.
Safari tent of over 25 m²
With Solar Tackle chairs and a table, so you can leave your own tent at home.
Power in the tent
Your safari tent has electricity, so you have light and can charge your gear.
A boat of your own
On every spot, with life jackets in the tent. You are welcome to bring a bait boat.
Unhooking mat, weigh bag and net
They are on the spot, so no diseases come in from other waters.
Shower and toilet
Clean facilities with a washbasin and a place to do the dishes.
Clubhouse
With a fridge, freezer, coffee and tea.
The Hungarian carp, only here in the Netherlands
Carpdistrict was started by Jos Tilleman, who has fished all his life and has fished for carp in many European countries. The Hungarian carp always stayed with him, and that is why it now swims in Walenhoek.
That makes this lake the only place in the Netherlands where you can fish for this carp. You fish in green, quiet surroundings, close to home and without a long journey abroad.

No need to haul bags of bait with you. At Carpdistrict Walenhoek you can buy boilies, particles and whatever else you need, and you pay for it there.

How booking works
You book entirely online and see what it costs at every step, so you do not have to call or email to find out whether your week is still free.
Step 1: Choose your week and spot
You can see for each week which spots are still free, and you can also book several spots at once.
Step 2: Enter your details
The name and address of you and your fellow anglers, for the tourist tax.
Step 3: Complete your booking
You pay online and receive a confirmation by email straight away, with everything you need to know.
Step 4: Arrive Friday from 12:00
Your tent is ready and you can cast out straight away. Groundbait and bait are for sale at the lake.

When do I arrive and when do I leave?
You arrive on Friday from 12:00 and leave the following Friday at 10:00. Weekend or midweek stays cannot be booked.
Do I need a fishing permit?
No, as long as you stay with us you do not need a fishing permit. That also makes it a great place if you are new to carp fishing.
What do I bring myself?
Your rods, three per person at most, your own cooking gear, your food and drink and your personal belongings. The clubhouse has a fridge and a freezer. A tent, a boat, an unhooking mat, weigh bags and a landing net are already there, and your own tent or boat is not allowed.
Which bait and hooks may I use?
Particles are allowed if they have been soaked and cooked, peanuts are prohibited. Hooks smaller than size 4 and longshank hooks are not allowed, and neither are keep sacks.
Can I buy groundbait and bait at the lake?
Yes, at the lake you can buy groundbait, bait and whatever else you need. You pay for it there, so there is no need to haul bags of bait with you.
Can my family come along?
At most two anglers stay on a spot. If you bring your family, they can stay on the same grounds in the Sunny Days apartments, run by Jos and Rox. That way you are away together and you still get a week by the water. Have a look at sunnydays-appartementen.nl.
The whole lake for your friends or your company
You can also book all four spots at once, for a week with friends or as a company outing. Then you have the lake to yourselves.
