Regulations
The rules for your stay and for fishing at Plas Walenhoek. Please read them before you come.
Your stay
- You fish from Friday 12:00 until Friday 10:00. Weekend and midweek stays cannot be booked.
- There is plenty of parking near the spot and the canteen, so please do not leave your car on the path.
- A maximum of two people can stay on a spot.
- On arrival we may ask you for a deposit of €150, which you pay in cash.
- Visitors are allowed by arrangement, at €10 per person. Visitors always report first.
- Putting up your own tent is not allowed. Every spot has a tent of over 25 m², so you can leave your own tent at home.
- When you leave, the spot and the tent must be tidy and clean.
- Dogs are welcome, but always on a lead, and you clean up after them with a poo bag.
Fishing
- Fishing with a longshank hook is prohibited, as is fishing with hooks smaller than size 4.
- You fish with three rods per person at most.
- Fish may not be taken, moved or killed. If you do so anyway, we will ask you to leave immediately.
- Particles are allowed if they have been soaked and cooked. Peanuts are prohibited.
- Unhooking mats, landing nets, weigh bags and buckets are provided on the spot, to prevent the spread of disease. So please leave this equipment at home.
- The use of keep sacks is strictly prohibited. You can let the fish recover in the weigh bags on the spot. If you do bring keep sacks, we will ask you to leave.
- Your fishing area has clearly marked limits. Please stick to them, out of respect for the other anglers.
On the water and on the grounds
- Your own boat is not allowed. There is a boat on every spot, and wearing a life jacket in the boat is mandatory; you will find them in the tent. A bait boat is allowed.
- Hard drugs are prohibited on the grounds, and excessive drinking is not tolerated.
- Please be considerate of the other anglers: loud music, raised voices and noise are not welcome.
